End-of-year Dinner for International Students

The Office, in collaboration with the International Students Association (ISA), organised an end-of-year Dinner and Awards night for international students at the University of Cape Coast on Friday, 26th July 2024, at the Elmina Beach Resort.

The event was aimed at celebrating the end of the academic year and to award students with outstanding performances in their various leadership positions and academics. The celebration was not only to recognize the hard work of the students but also foster a sense of community and togetherness as students shared their experiences.

The event was graced by dignitaries including, Prof. Samuel Bert Boadi-Kusi, Dean of OIR; Prof. Nancy Innocentia Ebu Enyan, Dean of the School of Nursing; Dr. Robert P. Biney, Head of Department of Pharmacotherapeutics and Pharmacy Practice; Prof. Jerry Paul Ninnoni, Head of Department of Mental Health; Prof. Paul Agu Asare, Department of Crop Science; Dr. Anthony De-Souza, Department of French; Dr. Eugene Kwarteng-Nantwi, Counselling Centre; and Mr. Mohammed Najimudeen Abdulai, Head of Student Records Section.

They presented several awards to deserving students on the night. Miss. Maria Naseer was awarded for outstanding achievement as the overall best-performing international student for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. Miss Naseer is a level 200 Biochemistry student.

Other activities included presentations for best-dressed Male and Female students at the dinner and a handing-over ceremony for incoming executives of ISA.
