Pre-Departure Orientation
On Friday, 12th June 2026, the Office of International Relations (OIR) hosted a comprehensive pre-departure orientation for students preparing to embark on various study abroad programmes. The session took place at the OIR Conference Room and brought together selected students who will soon represent the University in partner institutions overseas.
The Dean of the Office, Prof. Samuel Bert Boadi-Kusi, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of readiness and professionalism as students transition into new academic and cultural environments. He encouraged participants to uphold the values of the University and to make the most of the opportunities ahead.
Students were then guided through critical travel and settlement information by Mr. Isaac F. Eshun, the Inbound & Outbound Student Exchange Coordinator. His presentation covered practical aspects such as flight bookings, visa applications, health and safety considerations, and cultural adaptation tips. The orientation also provided space for questions, ensuring that students left with clarity and confidence about the next steps in their journey.
The event underscored the University’s commitment to supporting its students in international mobility programmes, equipping them with the knowledge and resources needed to thrive abroad!
