Study Abroad & Intl. Students Cultural Day Celebration

The Office of International Relations (OIR) of the University of Cape Coast, in conjunction with the International Students Association, organised a Study Abroad Fair and International Students Cultural Celebration Day at the Sam Jonah Library forecourt on Friday 4th February, 2022. The event started from 10am and ended at 3:30pm that day.

The purpose behind this event was to create a platform for students and staff of the University of Cape Coast to learn about the various cultures represented by the International students, to encourage networking among students and staff, and provide information on opportunities for studying abroad.

Prof. Rosemond Boohene, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University, stressed the significance of organizing such events in the university, saying that the networking that occurs as a consequence of such events provides endless chances for the students engaged.

Mr. Charles Abimbola Faseyi, the President of the International Students Association, also made an appeal to University Management to address some of the challenges that International students face.

The event was marked by activities like a cooking competition, cultural dances, flag parades, and singing of national anthems.
