Visit by Delegation from University of Strasbourg
The Office received a 4-member delegation from the University of Strasbourg and the Embassy of France in Ghana on 3rd February, 2023. The purpose of the visit was to discuss possible collaborations and to explore further areas of engagement with the University of Cape Coast. The members of the delegation are Irini Tsamadou-Jacoberger (Vice-President Europe and International Relations at University of Strasbourg), Mathilde Le Clainche (International Projects Engineer at University of Strasbourg), Pierre Spielewoy (Assistant International Projects Engineer at University of Strasbourg), and Dr. Florent Engelmann (Attaché for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation at the Embassy of France in Ghana). They were warmly received by the Dean, Prof. Kwaku Boakye, the Vice-Dean, Dr. Samuel Bert Boadi-Kusi, and the Snr. Assistant Registrar, Mrs. J. Audria Dankwa. They then held meetings with the Director and Deputy of DRIC, Prof. David Teye Doku and Dr. Brandford Bervell. There were further engagements with the Head of Department of Chemistry, Prof. Victor Atou Barku; Department of French, Prof. Mawuloe Kofi Kodah; and Department of English, Prof. Joseph Afful; as well as the Director for CEGRAD, Dr. Mrs. Georgina Yaa Oduro. The delegation was treated to a tour of campus and later paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor.
