A two-member delegation from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, visited the University of Cape Coast on Wednesday, 16th April and departed on 17th April, 2025.

The delegation comprises Prof. Masao Ichikawa (male), a faculty member at Institute of Medicine and Chair of the International Joint Degree Master’s Program in Agro-Biomedical Science in Food and Health (GIP-TRIAD) and Assistant. Prof. Mizuho Fukushige (female) who is the Vice-Director, Africa Region Office, Bureau of Global Initiatives and faculty member at the Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Institute of Medicine.

The purpose of the visit was to explore collaboration in the areas of Allied Health Sciences, Arts and Coastal Management and possible summer programme for both University of Tsukuba and University of Cape Coast students. Based on the above, a collaborative meeting was held between the visitors and the Dean of School of Allied Health Science, Faculty of Arts and the Director of Centre for Coastal Management.
