Welcome Dinner for 3 Study Abroad Groups
The University of Cape Coast (UCC) warmly welcomed delegations from three important partner institutions at a dinner hosted by Vice-Chancellor, Professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The event held at the Vice-Chancellors lodge brought together students and staff from University of Cincinnati (USA), Trent University (Canada), and Cardiff University (Wales).
The groups are visiting UCC for varying forms of the Study Abroad programme and for different duration. The group from the University of Cincinnati comprises five students and two faculty members, who will spend eight weeks on a research collaboration with colleagues at the School of Sustainable Engineering. The group from Trent University comprises 8 students who will be with the School of Development Studies for an initial 2 months of an 8-month-long stay in Ghana. The Cardiff University group comprises 3 faculty and 6 students from their School of Optometry who are working closely with our School of Optometry and Vision Science to provide essential eye care services to the people of Cape Coast and its environs for a week.
Each of the 3 groups had been earlier received and welcomed at the Office of International Relations by the Dean, Prof. Samuel Bert Boadi-Kusi. They were taken through engaging orientation sessions with staff of the office, where they learned about Ghana and the University of Cape Coast.
