Overview

Over the years, the University of Cape Coast has continued to position itself as a globally preferred university, fostering diversity and connecting cultures through its internationalisation activities.

The celebration of the maiden International Partners’ Week (iPart Week) is to strengthen existing partnerships with global universities and to build new connections and contribute to the advancement of knowledge and collaborations on an international scale. The programme will bring together over 200 international and local scholars, researchers, industrial partners, government officials and educators from partner institutions.

Important Information

Participants will be received at the Kotoka International Airport on Saturday 26th October, 2024. It is advised that participants make arrangements to fly into Ghana in the morning or afternoon to be recieved. We will offer transportation from the airport to the hotel in Cape Coast.

Drop-offs for departures will also be on 2nd November, 2024.

Partcipants who travel to Ghana before or after any of these dates may have to make arrangements to arrive in Cape Coast or depart to Accra. In such scenarios, kindly contact oir.dean@ucc.edu.gh for directions.

Event Registration Fees (non-refundable):
 
International Participants - $200
African Participants - $100
Local Participants - GHC500
 
The registration fee covers Airport Pick-up and Drop-off, Tours, Study Abroad Fair, Cultural Day Celebration, and Welcome/Closing Dinner.

You will need a visa to enter Ghana unless you are a citizen of a country that is exempted. Please contact the nearest Ghanaian Embassy or High Commission for a visa to Ghana. 

As a visiting faculty/staff/student, your visa is a permit to enter the country at any time during the period it was issued for. On entry into the country, you will be given a number of days at the point of entry to stay, usually 60-90 days. You are required by law to extend your permit to stay in the country for an extended period of time after that.

If you require a visa, an invitation letter will be provided on request for the application of a visa. It is advised that you obtain a visa, where applicable, before arriving in Ghana. https://home.gis.gov.gh/permits-and-visas/

Event Accommodation

We will make reservations for rooms based on selection in the registration. Participants will pay on arrival at the hotel. If you have a specific request, kindly indicate by email to oir.dean@ucc.edu.gh
