The University of Cape Coast (UCC) warmly welcomed delegations from three important partner institutions at a dinner hosted by Vice-Chancellor, Professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The event held at the Vice-Chancellors lodge brought together students and staff from University of Cincinnati (USA), Trent University (Canada), and Cardiff University (Wales).
A two-member delegation from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, visited the University of Cape Coast on Wednesday, 16th April and departed on 17th April, 2025.
The delegation comprises Prof. Masao Ichikawa (male), a faculty member at Institute of Medicine and Chair of the International Joint Degree Master’s Program in Agro-Biomedical Science in Food and Health (GIP-TRIAD) and Assistant. Prof. Mizuho Fukushige (female) who is the Vice-Director, Africa Region Office, Bureau of Global Initiatives and faculty member at the Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Institute of Medicine.
Level 200 students of the University Of Cape Coast (UCC) are encouraged to apply for the Washington and Lee University, John M. Gunn International Scholarship.
The Office of International Relations received a delegation of four from Brunel University, UK, on Thursday, 21st November, 2024.
The purpose of the visit was to further discuss the specifics of an educational and research collaboration, tour the campus and facilities, and meet with colleagues and academics in person. This visit was also an opportunity to formalise the partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two universities.
A new network called the Network for International Office Practitioners (NIOP) has been launched in Accra, Ghana, during the 14th annual conference of the African Network for Internationalization of Education (ANIE) held from 9-11 October, 2024.
NIOP aims to connect international office practitioners across Africa to share best practices, coordinate higher education internationalisation, and foster internationalisation activities in universities.

A 2-day workshop on Emotional Intelligence in Leadership was organised by the Office of International Relations from the 25th to 26th of June 2024. The workshop was facilitated by Prof. Dorothy Siaw-Asamoah, a Clininal Professor in the Organisation and Human Resources Department at the University at Buffalo School of Management, USA.
The workshop was held for Emerging Leaders and Administrators and was heavily attended by some Senior Members of the University and Administrators from different sections of the University.









The Office organised an end-of-year Dinner and Awards night for all international students of the University of Cape Coast.
The annual event is presents an opportunity for the Office to recognise and award international students who excelled in their academics in the academic year. This year's Dinner and Awards night was held on Friday, 18th August, 2023 at the Elmina Beach Resort. The occasion was chaired by the Acting Dean of the Office, Prof. Samuel Bert Boadi-Kusi.
