Visit by Delegation Wroclaw University of Science & Technology

On February 18, 2026, the Office of International Relations welcomed a delegation from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland. 

The visitors were received by Mr. Daniel Yeboah Mensah, Senior Assistant Registrar of the Office, who extended a warm welcome and reaffirmed UCC’s commitment to strengthening the growing partnership between the two institutions. 

Socialisation for International Students

On Saturday, 14th February, 2026, the Office in collaboration with the International Students Association (ISA), organised a socialisation event at the beautiful Nyansapo Eco Resort for all international students of the University of Cape Coast. 

UCC Hosts Strategic Partners from Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, Germany

The Office recently welcomed strategic partners from Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg (H-BRS), Germany for a series of collaborative activities aimed at strengthening international ties and expanding opportunities for students and staff. 

Welcome Dinner for 3 Study Abroad Groups

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) warmly welcomed delegations from three important partner institutions at a dinner hosted by Vice-Chancellor, Professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The event held at the Vice-Chancellors lodge brought together students and staff from University of Cincinnati (USA), Trent University (Canada), and Cardiff University (Wales). 

Visit By Delegation University of Tsukuba, Japan

A two-member delegation from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, visited the University of Cape Coast on Wednesday, 16th April and departed on 17th April, 2025.

The delegation comprises Prof. Masao Ichikawa (male), a faculty member at Institute of Medicine and Chair of the International Joint Degree Master’s Program in Agro-Biomedical Science in Food and Health (GIP-TRIAD) and Assistant. Prof. Mizuho Fukushige (female) who is the Vice-Director, Africa Region Office, Bureau of Global Initiatives and faculty member at the Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Institute of Medicine.

Visit By Delegation from Brunel University

The Office of International Relations received a delegation of four from Brunel University, UK, on Thursday, 21st November, 2024.

The purpose of the visit was to further discuss the specifics of an educational and research collaboration, tour the campus and facilities, and meet with colleagues and academics in person. This visit was also an opportunity to formalise the partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two universities.

Dean Appointed as Chair of NIOP

A new network called the Network for International Office Practitioners (NIOP) has been launched in Accra, Ghana, during the 14th annual conference of the African Network for Internationalization of Education (ANIE) held from 9-11 October, 2024. 

NIOP aims to connect international office practitioners across Africa to share best practices, coordinate higher education internationalisation, and foster internationalisation activities in universities.
